Well, this is a bit late I guess. Got busy working on some code for the site this morning, lost track of time, had a few personal things to take care of, then got involved in a pager call at work. Next thing I know, it's 9:00 at night. Holy cow.
As for Saturday, well that was just a mess. We are not supposed to golf in snow. We're just not. I guess it was better than the week before, but not a lot. We are going to have to come up with a points system for those that play in this kind of weather. Scooter and I discussed it a bit Saturday, and we think the term 'Stupid Factor' seems fitting. I'll get something coded up, then we can see how to apply it.
As for actual golf on Saturday, it was one Bradley Selph that pretty much ran away with everything. He shot a net 66 to take all the points, and had a gross 75 to win those points as well. That's a clean sweep. Devin gave it a run right up to the last hole, but came in at 67 to take second. Third was Max at 68, and he was at the top of the leaderboard a few times when I looked. Jacob and Jim McAleer tied for fourth at 70. That's some good shootin' in some tough conditions.
In scratch golf, as mentioned above it was Bradley taking first. Second was Connor at 76 (and no, Bradley didn't let Connor forget that the whole time we were there after). Third was Brent Baker at 80, with Jacob and Max also getting Scratch points.
In season standings, Bradley seems to be the class of the field there as well, as he leads in both Net and Scratch categories. Well played Bradley, but I'm thinking we've a good number of people going to be chasing you down before long. Or, at least trying.
Next week we are at Stone Creek. I haven't gotten word yet on which two nines we will be playing, may not have that until the Friday morning email. Weather is looking a good bit better than the last two weeks, at least at this point. And I've only got 9 people signed up for Stone Creek, so room for plenty more. But get in by Wednesday or potentially get left out!
